On 2nd October, our Grade 1 students joyfully commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with a vibrant, hands-on experience that brought Mahatma Gandhi’s enduring legacy to life. Embracing creativity and symbolism students had an immersive activity which allowed them to forge a personal connection with Gandhiji’s principles of non-violence, peace, and simplicity. Through thoughtful presentations, they eloquently expressed the historical significance of their chosen symbols, while reflecting on how Gandhiji’s timeless teachings continue to inspire today’s world. The celebration was a wonderful fusion of creativity and education, enhancing students’ public speaking, critical thinking, and empathy as they embraced the values of unity and respect. The event not only enriched their understanding of India’s freedom struggle but also left a lasting impact, encouraging them to apply Gandhiji’s wisdom in their own lives.
